Auckland Council installs first low carbon pipes | Auckland Council is installing low carbon concrete pipes made from alternative materials like fly ash and blast-furnace slag. The pipes achieve a 22% reduction in emissions compared with traditional concrete pipes and are a step towards Auckland's climate plan, which includes a 50% reduction in GHG emissions and a 2050 target of net zero emissions. | | | |

Waka Kotahi to fund Taranaki Regional Council's first electric bus | Taranaki Regional Council has received $308,000 in funding from the Waka Kotahi bus decarbonisation contestable fund, which it will use to help pay for the region's first electric bus. “The initiative will help lower emissions, improve air quality and support the council’s goal of mitigating climate change now and in the long term.” | | | |
