Air NZ inks largest SAF deal, selects airports for Mission Next Gen

Air New Zealand has signed an agreement with Neste for nine million litres of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), the largest purchase outside of North America and Europe. This week, it also announced that the first test route for its electric aircraft will be Wellington-Marlborough, to begin in 2026. An exciting week for the airline!

   

MfE releases a snapshot of New Zealand's GHG Inventory 1990-2022

MfE has released a greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory, aiming to inform Aotearoa New Zealand’s action on climate change by helping us understand current emissions and past trends, generate policy recommendations on climate change, and develop and monitor emissions reduction targets. U.N. climate chief says two years to avoid worst of climate change

Governments, business leaders and development banks have two years to take action to avert the far worse climate change impacts that would come with a 2 degree Celsius world, the U.N.'s climate chief said on Wednesday, in a speech that warned global warming is slipping down politicians' agendas.
