Our thoughts go out to those who have been affected by the devastating floods that have hit the upper North Island over the last week. Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University Professor James Renwick explains the clear link between climate change and these increasingly frequent severe weather events in this article, saying that one degree of warming in the air translates to a full 7% more water vapour in that air. Through our Adaptation Working Group, SBC and the Climate Leaders Coalition remain focused on helping our member businesses and signatories plan for how they will adapt to a changing climate.
