Government and Fonterra partner to significantly reduce emissions 

The Government is partnering with Fonterra to cut coal use at its dairy factories across a range of complex projects, which is expected to halve Fonterra's manufacturing emissions by 2030. The Government will co-fund up to $90 million from the GIDI fund, while Fonterra plans to invest around $790m. Read more about the significant announcement here.

SBC's Mike Burrell and the ABCSD's Andrew Petersen co-moderated an engaging panel and discussion session as part of the Australian New Zealand Leadership Forum held in Wellington this week, exploring ideas and ways both countries can collaborate to achieve our shared Net Zero goals. Countdown looks to tackle the emissions profile 

SBC member Countdown (soon to be Woolworths) has a target of reducing supplier emissions by 90% by 2030, and it has recently invited all its suppliers to measure and report their emissions through a tool called Thesis, helping suppliers to understand and reduce their emissions, as well as improving Countdown's supply chain data.
