The New Zealand Climate Clause Bank launches

New Zealand Green Investment Finance, alongside law firms including SBC members Anderson Lloyd, Chapman Tripp and DLA Piper, have recently launched the New Zealand Climate Clause Bank, a free resource designed to help businesses make small changes that can collectively have a massive impact in reducing emissions.

   

Applications open for 2023 Women4Climate programme

Applications are now open for the 2023 Women4Climate mentorship programme, run by C40 and Auckland Council. The programme matches committed business and community leaders with emerging women leaders. The mentors will share their knowledge and experiences, supporting the mentees in becoming powerful leaders in their chosen field. Learn more and apply here. 
   

Participate in the Chapter Zero Climate Governance Survey 2023

Directors and the wider governance community are invited to participate in Chapter Zero's Climate Governance Survey, which will provide a baseline of the status of climate governance in Aotearoa New Zealand and inform where Chapter Zero and its partners can best focus their work. Pivot Point: Deep Environmental Change (EDS event)

The Environmental Defence Society’s big environmental summit is rapidly approaching! EDS has called it Pivot Point because it’s a time of big change in the way we manage our environment. Net zero drivers are gaining momentum, freshwater reforms are in place and now face the challenge of implementation, and the entire resource management system is being replaced. Pivot Point is a great opportunity to come together and assess the adequacy and workability of all the changes as well as look forward to what the next term of government might bring. 

   

NZGBC Green Property Summit - earlybird ending 24 February

The Green Property Summit, run by the New Zealand Green Building Council in conjunction with the Property Council NZ, is back this year on 9-10 May. With keynote speakers including Amanda Sturgeon (CEO of Built by Nature) and World Green Building Council’s Victoria Burrows (who leads the Advancing Net Zero campaign), this bi-annual event will showcase local and international healthy building case studies, explore solutions, and feature key players in the world’s green building sector.
