Suncorp on track to meet accelerated net-zero ambitions   

Suncorp Group NZ has brought forward its Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions net-zero target by 20 years to 2030 (previously 2050) as it decarbonises its operations. Suncorp is on track to meet the insurance group’s new ambitions, having achieved both its prior FY22 and FY30 targets (22% and 51% reduction respectively) well ahead of schedule.

Fonterra trials world first sustainable electricity storage

Fonterra is partnering with PolyJoule on the application of a battery made from electrically conductive polymers, an organic based compound with the ability to act like metal. "The PolyJoule battery has a remarkable discharge rate, which may ultimately link with ultra-fast charging our fleet, including Milk-E our electric milk tanker."

Apply for an Auckland Climate Grant

Auckland Council’s first ever dedicated climate-focused grants programme opens next week, with $400,000 up for grabs for community-based climate projects. “We’re proud to work hand in hand with local communities who want to improve our resilience, protect our infrastructure, and help keep us safe, so any measures we can offer to support them, is important.”
