DOC, Genesis and Meridian partner to boost freshwater conservation | Efforts to protect native wildlife in Waitaki braided river systems will get a significant boost under a new $2.3m per annum agreement between DOC, Meridian Energy and Genesis Energy. The agreement comes as the two energy companies apply to renew their resource consents to use water for the Waitaki and Tekapo Hydroelectric Power Schemes. | | | |

Air NZ seeks airports for 'next gen' aircraft route | Air NZ has opened EOI's to airports around the country as part of selecting a route to fly its commercial demonstrator aircraft from 2026, and expects to make an announcement on which type of lower emission aircraft will be flying by early next year.
