Read the International State of the Climate Report for 2021 | Released this week, the International State of The Climate Report for 2021 shows the world just broke several records for the highest levels of carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide. Victoria University climate science lecturer Dr Kyle Clem (lead editor of the report's chapter on Antarctica) said 2021 was a year of extremes in the region.

Meridian to double the number of EV chargers in Wellington | Meridian is partnering with Wellington and Hutt City Councils to deliver its new Zero EV charging network, which will double the current number of EV charging stations in the region. Z Energy protecting biodiversity | Z Energy is helping fund The Nature Conservancy (TNC)’s Aotearoa Blue Carbon Project through its new $1 million Biodiversity Fund. LIC and Pāmu collaborate to breed low-methane emitting cows | Research from LIC has revealed that genetics play a role in how much methane a cow emits. “This year, in partnership with Pāmu, we will breed from bulls that we’ve identified to be high or low methane emitters. We’ll measure their emissions as growing yearlings and during their first milking season to ensure they’re representative of their fathers.” | | | |

The Wellington Chamber of Commerce is on a mission to get you moving on your sustainability journey. If you’re a small to medium business they’re offering a Six Session Bootcamp to equip you with all the tools you need to GoZero.
