Hydrogen power for NZ Post | NZ Post has secured its first hydrogen-powered fuel cell truck which will take over from one of its emissions-heavy trucks to save 1701 tonnes of CO2 per year. The Hyundai XCIENT Fuel Cell truck was unveiled by NZ Post at an event attended by Energy and Resources Minister Megan Woods, and is a key part of the company’s goal to be carbon neutral by 2030. | | | |
Climate Change Minister James Shaw has announced that the country's biggest polluters will have to do more to help meet climate targets due to changes the Government is making to "decade-old settings that have allocated far too many free climate pollution credits to New Zealand’s largest emitters." New Zealand’s only local cloud provider, Catalyst Cloud, has taken action to reduce its carbon footprint by attaining Toitū net carbonzero certification.
