Covid-19 mainstreams sustainability
The arrival of Covid-19 has resulted in an uptick in conversations about corporate sustainability and climate change among business, Mike Burrell says in this interview with new member Anthem.

Learn to love your leftovers
Best Foods (Unilever) has launched the Leftover Lunch Truck to tackle food waste. The truck will tour Auckland and Hamilton from December 3, to showcase how leftover and forgotten fridge food can be turned into appetising meals.
Christchurch Airport gains world-first recognition
Christchurch Airport is one of the first three airports in the world to be recognised for demonstrating best practice in carbon reduction, and the first to receive the highest carbon certification an airport can receive - the newly launched Airpoints Carbon Accreditation Level 4.
Lyttelton Port's cruise berth dolphin-friendly
This week, Lyttelton Port opened New Zealand's first purpose-built cruise ship facility. From the original concept design, the port achieved a nearly 50% reduction in embodied carbon emissions associated with the concrete and steel used to build the berth, and also reduced underwater noise which can affect marine mammals including the local Hector's dolphin.

Suncorp NZ welcomes TupuToa interns
In its third year partnering with TupuToa, Suncorp NZ has welcomed seven new interns to the organisation. The internship programme aims to grow the next generation of Maori and Pacific business leaders by creating employment pathways into the corporate sector. 
Climate Change Commission consultation process
The Climate Change Commission is set to launch its consultation process from February 1 to March 14 2021 as part of its advice to government on its first Emissions Reduction Plan. Anyone will be able to make a submission and share their thoughts. CCC will be using its newsletter and online platforms to keep the public in the loop about information it is releasing.
Unpacking climate-related financial reporting
Building climate resilience requires getting started on climate-related risk reporting - that's where the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) comes in. thinkstep-anz explores its significance for Aotearoa and tips for business on getting started.
Reporting corner
Bravegen has completed its first formal
greenhouse gas emissions inventory report, using its own carbon management solution to find opportunities for improvement, and will be purchasing offsets to achieve carbon neutral status.
