The Sustainable Business Council (SBC) has launched a refreshed strategy for 2026 – 2030, as we sharpen our focus for the pathway ahead. Since our last strategy refresh in 2023, the operating environment has become increasingly complex. Economic pressures, geopolitical disruption and slowing progress on emissions reduction has created new challenges for business.

Yet, the opportunity remains significant. Our new strategy is built on the foundation of a new 2050 vision, reflecting the belief that sustainability is ultimately about competitiveness, resilience and long-term prosperity for Aotearoa New Zealand.
