Westpac announces interest-free lending on EVs

Westpac is now offering access to interest-free lending to purchase an EV, as part of its expanded sustainable lending programme. The Greater Choices product includes 0% interest for up to 5 years on EVs. "Now customers can also use the loan to purchase EVs of any kind, which could help cut their carbon footprint and save them money in the long term."

   

Making 'spongier' towns and cities 

Check out the new report WSP has released in partnership with the Helen Clark Foundation looking at how we should be making our towns and cities 'spongier' to help us adapt to increased rainfall. Sponge cities, characterised by their blue-green features, allow water to flow, be absorbed, stored and released gradually, mimicking natural hydrological processes. 

   

Launch of Freight and Supply Chain Strategy 

The Government's released the Aotearoa New Zealand Freight and Supply Chain Strategy which aims to improve the productivity and resilience to disruptions of our ports, freight and shipping sectors. The strategy includes partnering with SBC to deliver a feasibility study into a market-led low carbon freight mechanism. Check out more details on our freight work here.

   

COP28 - register now for overflow badges

Applications are now open to register your expression of interest to receive a 'party overflow' badge via the Ministry for Foreign Affairs & Trade to attend COP28 in Dubai. HRNZ and the University of Auckland Business School, in association with Platinum Sponsor MAS, are holding the inaugural Future Workplace Forum in November 2023.  This annual event will deal with leading thinking and practice in the development of future workplaces in Aotearoa New Zealand. The inaugural event will focus on Digital Workplaces, looking at ways in which technological innovations are impacting our workplaces and how these might evolve in the future. The format for the Forum will include keynote speeches, Q&A sessions, panel discussions and exhibitor booths featuring relevant products and services.
