SBC & CLC Workshop: Consultation to inform policy priorities for ERP2 and general election advocacy
2023 offers a significant opportunity to continue to influence Aotearoa New Zealand’s transition to a zero-carbon future, and the role business can play.
Not only is the Climate Change Commission due to deliver its next round of advice ahead of the Government’s second Emissions Reduction Plan, but New Zealanders will also head to the polling booths in a general election.
SBC and CLC are working together to present a collective view on policy priorities to inform both the Climate Change Commission’s work, as well as government and opposition party representatives ahead of these key deliverables and events.
Join us for this 2-hour workshop to help inform SBC and CLC’s immediate policy and project priorities, that will have the best long-term impact on climate change mitigation and adaptation.
Drawing on the wealth of expertise within the SBC and CLC networks, the online interactive workshop will be run jointly by SBC, and consultants Sapere who have worked closely with us on similar projects in the past.
This workshop will build on previous SBC and CLC collective work, including:
- 2022 draft National Adaptation Plan submission
- 2022 Emission’s Reduction Plan discussion document response
- 2021 Submission to the Climate Change Commission on Draft Advice for Consultation
- 2020 Briefing to Incoming Government on Climate Action Priorities
This workshop is open to SBC members and CLC signatories only.
