Tourism Industry Aotearoa
Tourism Industry Aotearoa (TIA) is the only independent association that represents all sectors of New Zealand's large and diverse tourism industry. We accomplish what no single member or sector group could achieve by themselves. Our members range from SMEs to large, publicly listed corporates. The more the industry comes together to support TIA, the stronger our influence and the more we can achieve.
TIA embarked on a sustainability journey in 2017, launching the Tourism Sustainability Commitment (TSC) with the vision of leading the world in sustainable tourism - Toitū te taiao, toitū te tāpoi. E kōkiri ana e Aotearoa. The TSC’s focus is not just on minimising harm, but on making a positive contribution so that tourism gives back more than it takes.
As part of our own pledge to the Tourism Sustainability Commitment, we are working towards the 12 Commitments of sustainability, including reducing our Carbon Footprint, having a socially and environmentally sustainable supply chain, and being accredited a Living Wage Employer.
