Lyttelton Port Companies
Lyttelton Port Companies
Lyttelton Port Company (LPC) is the largest Port in the South Island of New Zealand, and the country’s second largest export hub. We facilitate the movement of $5 billion of exports and $5 billion of imports every year. We are the gateway for the goods that keep Canterbury and the South Island moving 24/7, year round.
That is why we take our role in the economic sustainability of Christchurch, Canterbury and the wider South Island so seriously. We are committed to making sure we develop the Port to ensure that it is able to handle strong projected growth in volumes and is sustainable in the long-term.
We are also committed to providing our customers with sustainable logistics solutions, with connections via rail from the Port to our inland container storage and repair facility CityDepot, and MidlandPort at Rolleston – the cross-roads of the region’s booming primary production heartland.
We have just developed our Sustainability Strategy 2019, shaping how we ensure our business is prosperous, while supporting our people, growing trust and mutual benefits with communities and taking care of the environment that makes our business possible.
At the heart of LPC, we acknowledge that sustainability is a critical part of our continued success to have a positive impact on people and the planet, in order to continue to contribute to a strong economy.
