Mitre 10
Mitre 10
Since 1974, Mitre 10 has been inspiring Kiwis to love where they live, work and play, from our home and backyards to the communities and county we all share. New Zealand is our home too, and we strive to make a positive contribution to our communities: socially, environmentally and economically.
New Zealand’s largest home improvement and garden retailer, we are a co-operative of independent small and medium Kiwi businesses. Our 84 locally owned stores and support centre employ over 6,000 team members, from Kaitaia to Invercargill.
Mitre 10 is on a sustainability journey. We’ve formalised a Sustainability Charter outlining key focus areas, and 49 stores now have Sustainability Champions who convene monthly to share knowledge, learnings and spearhead local education and action.
Our focus is on improving our own operations, while also taking steps to help our network and supply chain operate more sustainably. We use our industry networks to convene public and private sector collaborations and design solutions to industry-specific issues.
We also support our customers as they tackle projects that make their homes and lifestyles healthier and more sustainable, by providing the right products, solutions and advice.
