Sarah Holden

Sarah Holden is the Founder and Director of Oxygen Consulting NZ, an independent sustainability advisory firm based in Auckland. She has 25 years of experience in business sustainability and has worked with more than 130 organisations across listed corporates, state-owned enterprises, primary industry and SMEs. Sarah takes an integrated view of sustainability, connecting environmental, social and financial performance rather than treating them separately. Before founding Oxygen, she held senior sustainability roles at Westpac NZ, IAG Australia and IAG NZ, and she now brings both an SME owner's perspective and an understanding of large corporate business to her work. She holds a PhD in Environmental and Marine Science and is a member of the ISO subcommittee for greenhouse gas management (ISO/TC 207/SC 7). Sarah also sits on the New Zealand Government's Climate Business Advisory Group, keeping her close to where policy and practice are heading.
