Global Insights and Regional Leadership in Action

Join us for an exclusive networking event, bringing together senior leaders from across the Sustainable Business Council for a focused conversation on global insights and regional leadership in action.
Hosted in association with the New Zealand Green Building Council, this invitation-only event will feature Mike Burrell, Chief Executive of the Sustainable Business Council (SBC) sharing reflections from his participation in the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) Annual Meeting in Montreux.
Mike will be joined by Matt Kean, Chair of Australia’s Climate Change Authority, for a conversation on the economic opportunity of turning ambition into execution. Drawing on his experience as former Treasurer and Energy Minister in New South Wales, Mr Kean will share insights from delivering large-scale energy and climate reform including mobilising private investment, strengthening system resilience and achieving tangible outcomes for households and businesses.
Together, Mike and Matt will unpack:
- What global business leaders are prioritising amid economic, climate and geopolitical disruption
- Lessons from Australia’s transition that are relevant for New Zealand’s business and policy context
- The implications executive teams navigating long-term strategy and near-term deliver.
