Leadership in a changing world: 2018 Sustainability Leaders Programme

He aha te kai ō te rangatira? He Kōrero, he kōrero, he kōrero.

What is the food of the leader? It is knowledge. It is communication.

SBC and Catapult are thrilled to launch 2018’s Sustainability Leaders Programme (SLP2018) also titled leadership in a changing world next week on Tuesday. Building on the successful Future Leaders programme, SLP 2018 delivers tailored, leading-edge professional development for senior business leaders.

With growing uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity, ‘Business as usual’ can no longer exist. Critical issues like climate change and the future of work are shaping up to be some of the greatest opportunities and challenges for business in our lifetime.  They will require transformational strategic thinking, creativity and collaborations, at times involving cooperation amongst competitors, at a scale not seen in a generation.

SLP 2018 aims to inspire, challenge and deliver these critical skills, thinking and tools that leading businesses will need to navigate complex issues; to influence and mobilise others to drive systems change, and to embed sustainability into their organisation’s DNA.

SBC is excited to be joined by 25 senior business leaders from across 22 member companies taking part this year. They will gain insights, share their experiences and learnings, and test and develop new ideas, with guidance from Chief Executives, Directors, peers and experts. The will be able to apply these new skills, ideas and learnings to live projects and sustainability challenges.

SBC would like to acknowledge the support of programme sponsors Westpac, AECOM and KPMG.

It is an exciting time in business – Sustainability is increasingly being recognised as a core leadership capability.
