On Wednesday 24th January, Colmar Brunton presented the results of the latest Better Futures report to over 100 businesses. The results showed the NZ brands that consumers perceive as the most sustainable, and the top 10 issues of most concern to Kiwis. It was encouraging to see increasing awareness of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals among the NZ public. Abbie Reynolds, SBC’s executive director, talked about how businesses need to connect better with consumers through good storytelling and being transparent. Presenters from Meridian Energy talked about how they approach sustainability and how this is changing to meet consumer expectations.
