The Business Case for Nature Toolkit has been developed by the Sustainable Business Council (SBC) in partnership with the Ministry for the Environment (MfE) to support businesses across Aotearoa New Zealand to build a compelling case for investing in nature. Whether your organisation is just beginning to explore nature-related investments or is already on the journey, this toolkit offers step-by-step guidance to help you understand the drivers (the ‘why’) and shape the approach (the ‘how’) to develop a compelling business case for investment in nature.
This suite of guides is designed to be used together, building on one another to provide a cohesive framework for developing your business case.
“Tools like SBC’s Business Case for Investment in Nature Toolkit are vital to help businesses move from intention to action on nature. At WBCSD, we’re excited to complement this work through our Nature Action Portal, a digital resource to help companies turn ambition into measurable action and investment to halt and reverse nature loss by 2030. Together, these resources will help businesses make stronger, evidence-based decisions that contribute to a truly nature-positive future.”
Maria Campos, Manager Nature Action, World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD)
