AA Insurance
AA Insurance
AA Insurance is an independently operated, New Zealand-based joint venture between the New Zealand Automobile Association (NZAA) and Vero Insurance New Zealand Limited (VINZL).
As the country’s third largest general insurer, AA Insurance plays a significant role in protecting what matters most to Kiwis. Our fundamental purpose of ‘We care, we help, and we get things sorted’ drives our business, underpins our trusted reputation and is the foundation of our success. Our sustainability and corporate responsibility strategy is anchored in that purpose.
Our sustainability framework guides our efforts in: Getting things sorted for our customers; Helping the environment; and Caring for our people and our communities. At the heart of these three areas is our foundational approach of ‘doing the right thing’. This includes understanding and managing our own environmental impact, as well as contributing to the long-term sustainability of our industry and the critical role insurance plays in keeping New Zealand communities prosperous and resilient.
AA Insurance has set a 2030 science-aligned carbon emissions target conforming to a reduction that supports limiting the global temperature increase to 1.5 degrees Celsius by the end of the century – as set out by the Paris Agreement 2016. We are committed to reducing emissions across all areas by 42% by 2030 against the base year (FY20) for currently reported emissions.
